Occupational First Aid Refresher Course, Singapore

One day. WSQ-aligned. Built for Singapore workplaces renewing expiring Occupational First Aid certificates without rebooking the full two-day course.

If your appointed workplace first aiders were certified two years ago, their Occupational First Aid certificate is approaching expiry. The refresher exists exactly for this moment: it brings them back to current standard in a single day, without sending the full team back through two days of foundational training.

Why this matters

Under Singapore Workplace Safety and Health regulations, every workplace with 25 or more staff or hazardous activity must have a trained Occupational First Aider on each shift. A lapsed certificate means you are technically out of compliance until renewal happens.

Who this course is for

  • Existing workplace first aiders whose Occupational First Aid certificate is approaching the two-year expiry date
  • Companies running periodic recertification cycles (every two years per SRFAC accreditation under the WSH First-Aid framework)
  • HR or WSH coordinators consolidating multiple expiring batches into a single refresher cohort
  • Sites that have changed location, hazard category or headcount and want to reconfirm coverage

What the day covers

The refresher is structured around the practical competencies required to remain certified, with the theory recap kept concise because participants already hold prior certification.

  • Casualty assessment under workplace conditions
  • Adult CPR refresh and skills check on training mannequins
  • AED use, pad placement, voice prompts and shock delivery
  • Bleeding control, wound dressing, immobilisation
  • Choking, burns, fractures and common workplace injury scenarios
  • Practical skills assessment

How we make refresher easier than a regular booking

Most workplaces lose more time on the booking, scheduling and chasing than on the training itself. We have streamlined that part because the renewal cycle repeats every two years. The same admin pain hits every cohort if you are not built for it.

Expiry tracking and renewal reminders

Once a cohort has been through us, we track each participant's certificate expiry date and remind your HR contact when the renewal window opens. No spreadsheet to maintain. No surprise lapses.

In-house delivery anywhere on the island

We bring instructors, mannequins, AED trainers and consumables to your office, factory or worksite. Reduce participant travel time, train on familiar equipment, and avoid pulling staff offsite for the day.

Funding paperwork handled

Where SkillsFuture funding, Enhanced Training Support for SMEs or absentee payroll claims apply, we pre-fill the forms and walk your finance team through the process. See funding options.

FAQs

Refresher questions HR teams ask

Plan to renew at least one to two months before the certificate expiry date. This gives a buffer if your team needs to reschedule and avoids gaps in workplace coverage. Singapore Workplace Safety and Health regulations expect every workplace to have valid first aiders on each shift, so a lapsed certificate means you are technically uncovered.
A short lapse can usually still be handled with the refresher if your original training is recent enough. A longer lapse means returning to the full two-day Occupational First Aid course. Tell us your batch dates when requesting the quote and we will advise which path applies to each person.
One day. The session covers casualty assessment, CPR, AED use, bleeding control and the practical skills assessment. Refreshing existing first aiders is faster than initial training because the foundational theory does not need to be re-taught from scratch.
Yes. In-house delivery is the most common request from corporate clients. We bring training mannequins, AED trainers and consumables to your office, factory or worksite. You provide a room large enough for the cohort. This typically saves a half-day of staff travel time per participant.
Group sizes are typically 12 to 25 participants for cost efficiency, but we run smaller cohorts on request. Above 25, we usually split into two cohorts on consecutive days so each participant gets adequate practice time on the mannequins.
Yes. We track participant certificate dates and send your HR contact a heads-up when the next renewal window opens. This is the part most clients tell us was missing from their previous provider, and the reason they stay with us.
